Christopher Pike is the Director of Impact Studies within Oxford Economics’ Tourism Economics division and is responsible for measuring the economic impact of tourism activity – both broadly and for specific initiatives and projects. With his expertise in economic impact analysis, Chris works on projects from local - the impact of individual events - to universal - analysis of annual impacts of visitor spending. Chris is lead analyst on the DMAI Event Impact Calculator, working with over 220 DMOs on the impacts of meetings, conventions and sporting events on local economies, and has worked with dozens of state and local tourism destinations and companies around the world on annual impact analysis.
