Lunch & Panel: Public Private Partnerships

Summary:

Over lunch there will be a panel discussion with individuals from Hillsboro Parks & Recreation and the Hillsboro Hops Baseball staff.
Matt Kolasinski
Matt Kolasinski is the Sr. Vice President of Partnerships & Operations for Hillsboro Hops, the Advanced-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He has been with the team since 2016 and oversees the corporate partnership, broadcasting, and parking teams; in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Hops public-private partnership with the City of Hillsboro.

Matt is a 20-plus year veteran of the sports industry having previously led corporate partnership efforts for the Portland Timbers as the team's Director of Corporate Sales. He also held positions at Learfield Sports with Oregon State Beavers Sports Properties, the Portland Trail Blazers, Palace Sports and Entertainment with the Detroit Pistons, and the Portland Beavers.

In addition to his work with the Hops, Kolasinski serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and is the Board President for SW Portland Little League. In his free time, you can find him golfing, hiking, and waiting for football season to start. He lives in SW Portland with his wife, Kristin, 2 daughters, Bridget & Gretchen, and their dog, Dottie.

Mark Runde Mark has been a Facilities Coordinator at Gordon Faber Recreation Complex with the City of Hillsboro Parks & Recreation Department for 16 years. He's helped plan and manage major sports tournaments, high school graduations, and OSAA playoffs among other high-profile community events. Mark has a bachelor's degree in business from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. His family, including three children, lives in the Hillsboro area. He enjoys cheering on his children at their own youth sports games, and he also dedicates time to volunteer at their school. 


Scott Brucker Scott has more than 40 years of experience managing facilities like Gordon Faber Recreation Complex and 30 years of experience managing recreation programs. He’s worked for cities, universities, and special districts in aquatics, outdoor and indoor sports, stadiums and athletic fields, and maintenance and development. Scott has been with the City of Hillsboro Parks & Recreation Department for 8 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Washington State University. He currently calls Oregon home, but he’s lived in Arizona and Washington. In all his experience, Scott is most proud of the relationships he’s fostered that benefit the communities he has served.
