Elizabeth Chaney Young was promoted to Vice President in January 2018. She has served the NASC in various capacities since 2007 and has been an integral part of the growth of the association over the last decade. Elizabeth develops the annual strategy to advance the Association's mission, increase brand awareness, and promote the value of its impact to advance the sports events and tourism industry. Her specific responsibilities include strategic direction for membership, marketing, communications, education, and events.
Before joining the NASC, Elizabeth was an account executive for Pacers Sports and Entertainment and marketing associate for The Ohio State University Department of Athletics. She's also served as an adjunct faculty member at Northern Kentucky University and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Elizabeth is a proud alum of The Ohio State University, with a BSBA in marketing and a Masters of Art in sport and exercise management. She is a member of ASAE, AMA, and AFP. In March 2018, Elizabeth was recognized by Smart Meetings Magazine as 100 Women Who Inspire Us. While she wears many hats at the NASC, her favorite roles are that of wife and mom. Elizabeth resides in Cincinnati with her husband Jordan and their two children, Henry and Charlotte.
