On Wednesday, February 21 at 2 PM ET Don Staley shared what it will take to host the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference 2025 Women's Softball Championship. The GCAC is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The GCAC would like to host this event in a southeastern city of the United States ideally from April 15-19 or 23-27, 2025 (potential dates). The Host Requirements include: Complimentary rental of college regulation softball stadium/complex Hospitality Area for Staff and Officials Scoreboard Operator and Statistician Coordinate Athletic Trainers Host Press Conference prior to Championship EMS/Ambulance-add on site. Seven (7) Staff Hotel Rooms for Six (6) Nights Welcome reception for up to 250 guests. Bid Fee of $12,000 (negotiable) to the GCAC. Group booking rates for GCAC member institutions. From April 25 - July 20, 2024, we are looking to secure a host venue for our Tryout Camp, Training Camp, and Regular Season run of events. We'll bring over 100 players and staff, 2,500+ room nights, and 30 broadcast event days over a 12-week period.” - Don Hardman, Venue Director There is still time to submit a proposal. Webinar: USA Triathlon Endurance Exchange 1/26 @ 2pm ET

Endurance Exchange is the premier conference for the sport of triathlon and the endurance multisport industry. Endurance Exchange is operated by USA Triathlon, the national governing body for the sport. Over 900 coaches, race directors, medical professionals, athletes, retailers, vendors, and executives of the multisport industry from across the country are expected to attend this week-long event. Endurance Exchange is requesting proposals of future host venues for the next two years of the conference, hosted in year one between fall 2021 and spring 2022. The second year of the event will be hosted between fall 2022 and spring 2023. Due to COVID-19, many tournaments and recreational leagues are having to put new safety measures in place. As an event venue or organization, you will have to do the same. That is why Grand Park Sports Campus in Indiana and IUPUI Sports Innovation Institute teamed up to create a survey on what adaptations players and their families would want and not want.
