NASC 4S Summit for Sports Events and Tourism Professionals Sets Attendance Record

Cincinnati (For Immediate Release) – The National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) 4S Summit kicks off tomorrow in Detroit, MI, hosted by Detroit Sports. A record 200 sports events and tourism professionals from across the United States are in attendance.

“We have listened to what our members want, and we think our updated 4S Summit meets their needs,” said Al Kidd, NASC president and CEO. “By concentrating on these four core areas, we hope to offer the tools our members need to succeed.”

The curriculum includes four key areas of strategies, sponsorship, sales and servicing sports events. In the two days of meetings, 25 topics will be presented to help members excel in the sports events and tourism industry. Participants earn four credit hours toward Certified Sports Event Executive credential, the only advanced certification program for sports events and tourism professionals.

In addition to the group discussions, general sessions on sponsorship valuation and social and digital engagement will be presented by Hookit and Blue Jeans.
