Effective Selling in Sport Tourism provides the participant with key learnings about the sales process within the sport tourism industry.
Divided into four main sections, the course addresses:
1. Knowing Yourself and Sales Plans
2. What’s For Sale
3. Prospecting and Relationships
4. Event Fit.
The course is co-led by Jim Kahler, Executive Director of the AECOM Center for Sports Administration at Ohio University and Don Schumacher, Executive Director of NASC. The instructors, along with guest experts, share foundational content highlighted by vignettes that demonstrate the material in action in the industry.
Participants will leave the course with an improved sales aptitude, a better understanding of the sales process in sport tourism, and the ability to make “go/no-go” decisions on pursuing bids.

Online Course Details
All Ohio University Online CSEE Courses will be available for six to seven weeks via OU's Blackboard system. All CSEE registered participants will receive a student ID from Ohio University just prior to the opening of the course. If the Ohio University course you registered for is your first online course, you will also have one week to preview Blackboard and take a free orientation course.
