2018 Symposium

Marketing Campaign of the Year

This award is given to an Active member with the most outstanding comprehensive marketing campaign for its organization or an event. This can include a variety of types of marketing: print ads, newsletters, email blasts, digital marketing (including websites, social media components, etc.), press releases, media coverage or any other promotional program. If the campaign is for the organization, it should promote the sports destination not general travel or meetings.

Submission Guidelines

The NASC Awards Committee invites you to submit nominations for the 2017 NASC Member Awards on behalf of your organization.

Award recipients will be selected on the basis of exemplary performance and merit, and not all awards may be awarded in a given year. Winners will be announced the Opening Ceremonies and Member Awards Breakfast at the 25th annual NASC Sports Event Symposium in Sacramento, CA on March 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. PT. Nominations and all supplemental materials are due by Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:59pm ET.

In order for your entry to be considered, please address each of the judging criteria and clearly label each section of your entry according to the judging criteria outlined below.

Please include the following in your 800-word description:

  • Statement detailing sports marketing campaign purpose, objectives and goals (20 pts)
  • Examples of how outlined goals were achieved through execution of marketing campaign (20 pts)
  • Highlight creativity of the campaign and how that creativity conveys the message of your organization as a sports destination, including social media platform (20 pts)
  • Cohesiveness of marketing pieces and/or messaging used in overall campaign and how they support campaign purpose and goals (20 pts)
  • Submit collateral material as supporting document(s) to demonstrate production quality (20 pts)
