Solutions to Event Based Housing Housing is always a subject of interest/importance/concern to our industry. The NASC has decided to devote an entire module to a full discussion of every issue that must be resolved in preparation for an outstanding event.
We will use case histories, hotel contracts, a panel discussion featuring representatives from a sports commission, convention and visitor’s bureau, rights holder, hotel, and/or a housing company. There will also be a segment devoted to resolution of the top issues with specific attention given to rebates, commissions, stay to play, attrition clauses, among other topics. The module will also demonstrate the importance of a properly constructed room block and methods for tracking the block.
Our overall objective will be to provide solutions, not just identify problems. Participants will be asked to provide questions/issues prior to the session.
