CSEE Requirements

For Standard participants, the requirements for certification are as follows:
  1. Earn a total of eight (8) credits
  2. Have at least five (5) years of experience in the sports event travel industry at the time of graduation from the program
  3. Be a member in good standing throughout the entire process of certification
  4. Pay the fees required for each module
For Grandfather participants, the requirements for certification are as follows:
  1. Earn a total of five (5) credits
  2. Have ten (10) or more years of cumulative experience in the sports event travel industry at the time of registration in the program
  3. Be a member in good standing throughout the entire process of certification
  4. Pay the fees required for each module.

In order qualify for "grandfather" status, applicants must demonstrate ten (10) years of experience with a professional resume including employment history and sports event travel industry specific experience.  Send resume to Beth Hecquet, CMP, Director of Meetings and Events. Years of experience must be proved upon admission to the program.

Three Ways To Earn CSEE Credits
One (1) credit earned after the completion of each of the opportunities below

  1. Attend the Spring Module held in conjunction with NASC Sports Event Symposium each April
  2. Attend the Fall Module held each September or October
  3. Earn a Masters Degree in Sports Marketing/Management/Administration or the like

To acquire the credit for your Masters Degree, you will need to send a copy of your diploma along with a statement of event experience earned while studying for your Masters Degree to Beth Hecquet, CMP, Director of Meetings and Events. You will be notified when the one (1) credit has been applied.
