CSEE Requirements

For Standard participants, the requirements for certification are as follows

  1. Earn a total of eight (8) credits
  2. Have at least five (5) years of experience in the sports tourism industry at the time of graduation from the program
  3. Be a member in good standing throughout the entire process of certification
  4. Pay the fees required for each module

For Grandfather participants, the requirements for certification are as follows

  1. Earn a total of five (5) credits
  2. Have ten (10) or more years of cumulative experience in the sports tourism industry at the time of registration in the program
  3. Be a member in good standing throughout the entire process of certification
  4. Pay the fees required for each module.

In order qualify for "grandfather" status, applicants must demonstrate ten (10) years of experience with a professional resume including employment history and sports tourism industry specific experience.  Send resume to Don Schumacher, CSEE, Executive Director, at don@SportsCommissions.org. Years of experience must be proved upon admission to the program.

Three Ways To Earn CSEE Credits

One (1) credit earned after the completion of each of the opportunities below
  1. Attend the Spring Module held in conjunction with NASC Sports Event Symposium
  2. Attend the Fall Module held in conjunction with the NASC Fall Meeting
  3. Hold a Masters Degree in Sports Marketing/Management/Administration or the like*

*To earn credit for Masters Degree, submit a copy of your diploma along with a statement of event experience obtained while studying for your Masters Degree to Don Schumacher, CSEE, Executive Director, at don@sportscommissions.org. You will be notified when the one (1) credit has been applied.
