CSEE Requirements

For Standard participants, the requirements for certification are as follows

  1. Earn a total of 32 credits, 12 of which must be earned by taking all three core course
  2. Have at least five (5) years of experience in the sport tourism industry at the time of graduation from the program
  3. Be a member in good standing throughout the entire process of certification
  4. Pay the fees required for each course

For Grandfather participants, the requirements for certification are as follows

  1. Earn a total of 20 credits
  2. Have ten (10) or more years of cumulative experience in a leadership position (having budgetary and staff management responsibilities) in the sport tourism industry at the time of registration in the program
  3. Be a member in good standing throughout the entire process of certification
  4. Pay the fees required for each course

In order qualify for "grandfather" status, applicants must demonstrate ten (10) years of experience in a leadership position (having budgetary and staff management responsibilities)  with a professional resume including employment history and sport tourism industry specific experience.  Send resume to Don Schumacher, CSEE, Executive Director, at don@SportsCommissions.org. Years of experience must be proved upon admission to the program.

Ways To Earn CSEE Credits

  1. Take courses online (four credits each)
  2. Take live courses one or twice a year (at meetings of the Association)
