CSEE Certification

Since its inception in 2002, CSEE has been the only certification available for experienced sports event professionals seeking continuing education and professional development in the field of sports tourism. The NASC Staff and Professional Development committee develop curriculum for each module.  

NASC is dedicated to raising the standards of professionalism in the sports tourism industry through the CSEE program. Participants will complete sessions on topics within the following core subjects:

  • Sales and Marketing
  • Strategic Planning
  • Event Management
  • Technology
  • Revenue Generation
  • The Bid Process
Certification can be earned in as little as two and a half years for grandfather participants and four years for standard participants. CSEE designation is awarded to individuals who have successfully completed eight modules (five modules for individuals with grandfather status). Modules are currently offered at the annual NASC Sports Event Symposium and Market Segment Meetings.
